The last few weeks have been unusual to say the least. Many teachers have been stressed trying to learn how to teach their students in a completely new way.
I have found that webquests are an excellent resource for distance learning. Instead of spending tons of your time making videos, students explore websites, videos, and books that are already on the internet and they complete activities to show what they learned. I created this webquest that is perfect for Earth Day. It was created in Google Slides and includes the following activities.

Website 1: About types of energy • Types of Energy: Type the answers in the box (1 slide) • Types of Energy: Drag the types of energy to either renewable or nonrenewable. (1 slide) • Effects: Type 3 effects (consequences) of using energy (1 slide) • Make Big Changes: Make a poster telling others how they can save energy (1 slide) • Word Bank: Match the vocabulary words to the definitions. (1 slide)
Website 2: About hazardous waste
• Hazardous Waste: Drag the hazardous waste to the box & name the characteristics of
hazardous waste (1 slide)
Video 3: About recycling • Recycling: Match the words with the definition (1 slide)
• Recycling: Drag the items to the correct recycling bin (1 slide)
Website 4: About the 3 R's • Recycling: Name the 3 R's (1 slide) • Reduce: Fill in the boxes that have ways to reduce (1 slide) • Reuse: Make a poster telling others how to reuse things (1 slide)
